Geoff's love of Aboriginal Culture and Tourism - his passion to share his beloved country with those who have not as yet discovered it's delights, and his love of people of all backgrounds to facilitate a relaxed and educational family experience with freedom to roam in the green and lush pastures, climb trees, feed animals - and read.
"Crocodile Dundee" Geoff will be seen, complete with hat, on the ride-on mower...catch him in converstaion and ask him about the Outback! that is his passion and he is enormously knowledgeable on Australian History and Bushcraft. The rooms are very comfortable, but perhaps you want to try sleeping in a tent, or cooking on the BBQ and making billy tea and damper, and sharing stories around the campfire. You request - we facilitate!
We offer a Continental breakfast in the kitchen/dining area. If you wish to cook your evening meal, or lunch - feel free to use the kitchen and the herb garden.
Although all these rooms are under the one roof, Geoff has a separate suite of rooms and will make himself scarce - spending time in the garden or in his room with separate entrance.
If your group requires 3 double bedrooms, as well as the bunks, it is possible to rent the entire home.
Geoff moved into ValentineHills in November 2013. Not looking for a property at all at the time, we called into the Village on our first caravan trip....it was instant love, and then we found this property, up the hill from Loch, with a For Sale sign at front gate - he likes to think it was waiting for him to find it, and so he did! Since moving in he has achieved many things....fences, huge plantings, clearing and chopping up extensive fallen trees and branches and creating garden beds. Horses and a dog! he wants to share this paradise with his grandchildren friends and families to experience life away from the City.
Walk down the Driveway into the Village and try our own Boutique Brewery and Distillary..fab beer, the best combination Gin and Tonic; and Whisky to come. Mel and Craig will serve local wines if you prefer wines, and an amazing selection of Whiskies while theirs are ageing.
At the General Store - try Diana and Alan's chilli Hot Chocolate and Paella; and special brews of chilly sauces.
The Gift shop has a fabulous range and coffee with tasty luncheon and sweet delights at Olive at Loch or Cosy Kitchen for a country breakfast. Revel in antiques at Carringtons!
Across the Hwy there is the most celebrated experience of spending an afternoon with Mark at the Gippsland Wine Company - we can give you a card for Complimentary tasting!
